The Historical Civic museum
is in the Neri-Orselli Palace in Ricci Street and it represents
one of the rare examples of the architecture of XIVth century
of Siena .
The museum is divided in 4 main sections that are:
-Poliziana section where are collected some metal and ceramic
objects of the medieval period.
-The archaeological section collects some Etruscan objects and
some roman buildings.
-The pinacoteca is the more important section, thanks also to
the bequest of the Primicerio Francesco Crociani in 1859 of works
of the XVIth and of the XVIIth of Florence.
-The terrecotte “robbiane” they are one important
testimony of the historical tie between Montepulciano and the
ceramics.
